It's snowing again - hired marquee management

We woke up this morning to more snow which brings with it a cold chill. Marquees in the snow can be a burden as they will only hold so much before the additional weight will make them buckle. If you have any marquee structure erected for an event then it is worth contacting your supplier to check what the correct procedure is to make sure your not liable for any damage caused as a consequence.

It's quite likely that the marquee hire company will contact you first and might arrange to visit the site to take the steps needed to protect the equipment. The obvious way to ensure the damage doesn't occur is to take a broom and remove snow by hand as much as possible, if you are thinking of scaling a ladder to reach the peak then do so with care and try to get someone to secure the bottom of the ladder whilst you climb. Another method is keep the inside of the marquee at a toasty temperature to stop the snow settling in the first place.
