marquee season in full swing

Well the season is upon us and I just haven't had time to post, thats how busy we have been.  Finally i've got 5 mins to myself so I thought i'd fill you in with a few marquees we have been doing.

Wedding venue open day.  This was the last post I wrote about and we have since seen it the day come a go, with great success.  We posted some of our pictures on the facebook account with more to follow.  It was a sunny day in the end and we thank all that turned up to see the 9m by 24m marquee.  Fully kitted out with all that you could ask for including full bar, seperate cloakroom, chillout zone, catering area, dance floor covered in starlight lining and more.

Find us on facebook and hit the like button if you haven't done so already. ;-)

For some reason garden marquees have been popular in recent weeks and we have done a couple of small weddings, christenings and big mile stone birthdays, all in the clients gardens.

The new curved frame marquee is going down well with clients also, providing that different feel and look from the standard ridged look.

Nothe Fort marquee wedding

This weekend might of been the royal wedding but it didn't stop others from tying the knot and we the wedding marquee up for the celebration. The venue was Nothe Fort in Weymouth, a gun fort used in the war to protect the harbour, built on three levels with a labyrinth of underground tunnels as well as open areas that provide a view across miles of the Juarssic Coast. The ideal wedding location.

The marquee looked great, a 9m x 27m with an additional 6m x 6m for the service tent. Ivory linings gave it the wow factor although the optional coloured valance was omitted at the couples request. A 6m x 5m hard wooden dance floor with brass surround provide the allocated boogy area which was pieced together on top of charcoal matting flooring. 6ft round tables and trestle tables were also hired with linen to go with them.

Lighting consisted of 2 crystal chandeliers setup on a dimmer, coloured led uplighters set to fade through a wide colour spectrum and strip lighting to help
